Attr(active)
performative exercise
January, 2024
The piece captures the sound emitted by a wooden instrument, which has six guitar strings, and translates it into both visual and sonic richness.
At the core of the work is the attraction of particles according to a specific pattern. This attraction allows the art piece to unfold over time, creating a subtle yet ever-changing shape that is influenced by sound.
The wooden instrument was intentionally designed to be as simple as possible, ensuring that its sound would remain clear and undisturbed by unnecessary complexity.
The patch driving the system is based on the concept of a strange attractor, a chaotic yet mathematically predictable phenomenon where disorder tends to form into recognizable patterns over time.
